  1. The Product is supplied as the following standard Windows Installer executables which are run for the product files to be installed and icons setup in a FindMap folder and under the Windows Start menu.
  • Postcodes Express - setup_pcx.exe (26 Mb)
  • Postcode Professional - setup_pcpro.exe (37 Mb)
  1. When run for the first time a 14 day trial period is established after which a product licence must be purchased for access to continue beyond this date. During the trial period there are no restrictions or limits on product useage other than the length of time for use.
  1. On confirmation of purchase email details will be registered on site and product unlocking can be done online using automatic connection or by web browser and email.
  1. There are a number of pre-built items which are available for immediate use to begin using the product while becoming familiar with it's options and before starting to use your own data. As you use the product and save items your own names you use will appear in these lists for selection at any time.

    To use these pre-built items just click on the lists above the initial map view to apply that setting.

    • Views - saved views for various cities and states:
      • Click to change view.
      • Use View|Save As to save your own using any current view.
    • Labels - custom labels and fonts:
      • Click to add set of labels to map.
      • Use Label|.. to add single or bulk labels.
      • Use Label|Save As to save current labels and styles as a set.
    • Territories - custom territories:
      • Select areas and save them as Territories using Territory|Save As
      • Generate Territories using names and postcodes from column in a given table.
    • Current Table Columns - columns for current table:
      • Click to map data from that column.
      • Use Table|Add to create your own current table from CSV file
      • Also use Help|Getting Started to get automated assistance in all steps from your .CSV file to completed Map.
  1. To change to a different current table use Table|Set As Default and select from any other tables listed there (Professional Edition only) or use Table|Add to create a new table and set this as your current default table. (Express and Professional).
  1. There are sample .CSV files in a samples directory which are used to build the pre-built data supplied with the product and which can be used as a guide for formatting your own data.
  1. Use windows help Help|Contents to get a full description of menu and toolbar options and Help|Getting Started for step by step live building of data and territories from any .CSV file.
